    I played diablo on the original playstation. Baldours gate on the xbox was next. never went back to PC's after packing up my ancient Amiga 500 and before that the CPC464 in favour of consoles so dont know what am missing....

    all i know is that this game will get some playtime and looking forward to some old time dungeon crawling and no... i am not talking Roland in the Caves (youtube might help)

    @Tankbuster94

    This is by the same team that made Diablo and Fate. If you ever get around to playing it, listen to the music while you are in town. Its the same music from Diablo. This really is a GREAT game. It is going to be a good way to pass the time waiting for Diablo 3 or Dungeon Siege 3. This is going to be worth however many points they make it.

    It looks good, not sure if hack-and-slash RPG's can work on the 360 though. I hope this will be a success.

    @Zeeksie
    1 - You can't assure that. You'd need to have access to information only blizzard employees have, and you'd be under contratual obligation to keep it to yourself.

    2 - That's called wishful thinking, pal. I also HOPE that they remain our PC gamer last bastion, but who knows. Looking for platform specialists to adapt D3 was not a good sign. I odn't blindly believe in press releases (or blue posts).

    It's not BS at all. 2 years before SC2 was launched they had closed SC2 competitions at blizzcons. And they are doing the same with Diablo. They have money, lots of it, and manpower, both in numbers and capacity (blizz employees are VERY capable individuals, they only hire the best in the industry). There's no WAY they would take 5, 6 years to make a game like Diablo 3 if marketing was not involved.

    And yes, there's someone to tell them what to do, Vivendi Universal.

  • Zeeksie

    Posted Jan 14, 2011 12:53 am GMT

    @Nodashi, first of all,
    1. Diablo 3 is not finished, it's still being developed, I assure you.
    2. Blizzard puts the PC platform above everything else, there is no damn way they would delay D3's release because they decided to port the game to consoles.

    Blizzard do not delay their games for marketing purposes, that's BS. Nowadays Blizzard is the only company capable of delivering both quality and quantity at the same time, simply because they take their time with the development and most importantly, there's no one to tell them otherwise, not even Activision.

  • Nodashi

    Posted Jan 13, 2011 10:31 pm GMT

    @Zeeksie Considering how long Blizzard likes to hold their finished games nowadays because of some misterious marketing wizardry, yes, we actually need GOOD Diablo clones.

    Noticed we have Diablo 3 gameplay from 2 years ago? And now they are hiring people to port it to the Xbox?

    That and this one is pretty solid, I can tell ya, I played a few. Of course, I play them on PC, but still... that only makes me even a sadder panda when D3 is delayed cause they decide to port it to consoles.

    @mdboomer, No we need more Diablo clones.

    @julion76 Nope not until the second one comes out.

  • Wakey652

    This game was fantastic on the pc, a very streamlined action rpg loot-fest which was great for whiling away the hours. I hope that it is priced and consequently sells well on XBLA. This would open it up to a new audience who don't play pc games, all the while funding the devs to create the online game we've all been waiting for!

    this game isn't to bad on the pc. if they make it affordable for xbox like 800-1000 points its well worth buying considering its a reasonably long game.

    This game looks lame, I hate games in which you cant chance the view from a standard aerial.

    Definitely getting this. The PC version is the best Diablo inspired games I've played.

    @snake289 Indeed. Additionally, one important feature in the original torchlight was the modding community.

    Haven't we been flooded with Diablo clones? Hack and slash has gotten so old.

  • snake289

    Posted Jan 8, 2011 10:44 am GMT

    Don't see the point in this seeing as the PC version doesn't require much to run it and always ends up being cheap on the Steam sale.

    Also TL2 is coming out.

    Im surprised we havent seen more diablo clones as it was so successful.

    Torchlight is great fun and consoles need more Diablo type games - there just aren't enough being made.

    I am really looking forward to the Multiplayer sequel for Torchlight.

    Posted Jan 8, 2011 8:48 am GMT

    @Torchlight on the Xbox-360

    Why? You can't just stay on the PC like Diablo! WHY!?

    Still though it may do well but...WHY!?

  • the05birdman

    Posted Jan 8, 2011 8:30 am GMT

    Great game but it took too long to come to the 360. Plus I got it from Steam for $5 and I doubt it will be that cheap on the 360.

  • Blitzkrieg129

    Posted Jan 8, 2011 7:36 am GMT

    Though I do like the ability to have addons on the PC...if this game is $20 on the Xbox 360...I might just pick it up to enjoy it on the big screen rather than my 17" monitor...

  • halBU

    Posted Jan 8, 2011 4:44 am GMT

    It's a really solid and fun Diablo clone with some very nice features like the ability to send your pet back to town to sell your loot rather than trudging back and forth wasting time. The guys behind this title co-developed Diablo/Diablo II and Mythos.
